There hasn't been much to report, and I still haven't thought of an interesting topic or focus for the site. Because of my dilemma, I'd like suggestions and ideas from you! Go to our Facebook page, and leave a comment on the post. Thank you!
I've had this web page for quite some time, but never kept up with it. Part of my trouble is that I could never think of anything interesting enough to post, or atleast nothing that others would find interesting also.
Last year, I competed in Giggle Magazine's Big Weight Loss Challenge and started participating in walks/fundraisers for various causes. Life got hectic once the challenge was over, and my involvement declined noticeably. I'd like to get back into a more active lifestyle, both physically and in the community. I also started working for Shands at UF, which is extremely active with many of the walks/fundraisers.
As a result, I've signed up to walk at the American Cancer Society'sMaking Strides Against Breast Cancer on Saturday, October 13th, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society'sLight the Night Walk on Thursday, November 8th. I'm in desperate need of donors/supporters for both of these walks. If one or both of these causes are near to your heart, or if you find you've got a little extra in your pocket, I'd be greatful of your donation. Size doesn't matter, every penny counts!
